Venture into the breathtaking vastness of the Sinai Desert, where silence and simplicity come together to return you to the essence of yourself. During this unique desert trip you live in the rhythm of nature, surrounded by the vast landscape and the deep peace that this place offers. Here the noise of everyday life fades, making it easier for you to connect with yourself and your environment.

Simplicity and space are central. We travel and eat together, there is always room for you to be alone, read, walk or simply reflect. This is your time to slow down and return to the simplicity of life, and to connect with your deeper core.

Whether you are already connected to your inner voice or perhaps struggling to manifest your vision, or are simply looking for peace and clarity, this journey offers you the time, space and guidance to delve deeper into yourself. During this tour you will not only travel through the desert, but also through the layers of yourself.

Before the trip, we discuss your needs together and set an intention for the trip. During the tour we will check in regularly, both individually and in groups, to delve deeper into your process. Every day we start or end with a joint breathing session, to let go of what no longer serves and make room for new energy.

Day program

Day 1: Arrival in the desert
After arriving in Sinai you will be welcomed by the Bedouins and our guides. We start quietly with an introduction and an intention session. The camp is ready upon your arrival, so you can quietly prepare your sleeping place and sit down for dinner by the campfire under the stars.

Day 2-5: Deeper into the desert
Every morning starts early with cleaning up the sleeping place and a breakfast with coffee, tea and freshly baked bread. While the camels are being saddled, you can enjoy a fresh breakfast of coffee & tea. We travel through the desert in silence as much as possible and cover about 10 to 15 kilometers every day. After a lunch break there is room for rest, reflection and personal guidance. In the evening we prepare our sleeping place and end the day with stories, music and tea around the campfire.

Day 6: Return to the coast
After our last breakfast in the desert we continue towards the coast. We reach Nuweiba beach and enjoy a well-deserved moment of rest on the Gulf of Aqaba. Here we end the journey with a festive circle and a final communal meal at sunset, to share and celebrate the experiences of the journey under the open starry sky.

Our travel policy

Tourism is the largest industry in the world, with enormous potential for economic growth and employment. Unfortunately, tourism also causes negative effects on nature and local cultures. We try to look for sustainable alternatives to limit the negative effects of tourism and enhance the positive effects. Livethebedouinlife attaches great importance to dealing responsibly with culture, nature and the environment. We adhere to cultural codes as much as possible and expect the same from our travelers. It is -if applicable- easy to forget that we sometimes travel through very poor areas.

Flights can be booked via:

Transavia.com: Flies from Amsterdam Schiphol to Sharm el Sheikh in the period from November to the end of March .

TUI: Flies directly from Rotterdam Airport to and from Sharm el Sheikh for a number of months a year. Flights can also be booked directly from Eindhoven Airport to Sharm el Sheikh.

TUI Belgium: From Brussels there are direct flights to Sharm el Sheikh.

Turkish Airlines & Pegasus :
With both airlines you fly via Istanbul, they are the most stable in price and departure.

Because we travel by camel, a pair of long trousers are useful to take with us. A sweater, cardigan for the evenings, and lighter clothing for the day. If you get cold quickly, bring a pair of warm socks. During some parts of the journey you will have to guide your camel over the mountains on foot, so shoes/sturdy sandals/slippers that are comfortable to walk in are essential for this journey.

We have a sleeping bag for everyone, but for extra comfort, warmth and hygiene, you should also bring a sleeping bag or at least a sheet bag.

Don’t forget something for your head, a scarf, hat or cap! It is important to protect yourself well while riding through the desert on your camel and from the sun in general. So don’t forget your sunscreen! A toothbrush, a washcloth and a greasy cream or oil is also nice to have with you in the desert.

Because we travel by camel and it will also carry your luggage, it is best to choose a flexible backpack, sports bag or soft suitcase.
